There was a discussion in Digital Point Forum about a scam tactic used by shenanigans. Here’s how it happened.
The scammer would hire a writer or post a writing job. Article writers would then accept the job. After completing the work, the writers would then submit the articles to the one who posted the writing job.
A reply from the employer says that the articles were duplicate or plagiarized, therefore he won’t pay for the work. Of course, the article writer would shake in disbelief over the allegation since the writer knows that he was writing an original, never-been-published piece. The writer lost income, but the employer had ran away with the articles.
How it happened? The employer, after receiving the articles from the writer, would then post those articles to article directories or blog sites that he or his friends own. And he would tell the writer that the same article was found in this and that site.
If you are accepting freelance job, beware of article writing scam in the Net today. Deal only with legitimate people, people you know who are honest and ethical. Beware of scammers!
