How To Recover Lost Domain Name

Recently I forgot to renew the registration of one of my domains. I could no longer find the domain in my account panel at Namecheap.com. So I wrote to Namecheap and asked them how I could recover the lost domain name. Here is its reply:

Since this domain is expired more than 27 days ago, it is not under your account any more. But it is still possible to renew it at the regular price manually from our end. If you agree to this condition, please pre-fund your account with the money required for domain renewal. Once it is done you need to provide us with your username and first 3 characters of your password (for account ownership validation).

Please note that your domain name is in this state for a short and undefined period of time, so it may be dropped into redemption any time. That is why we cannot guarantee that it won’t be there in 24 hours from now. So it is required for you to follow steps we have provided you as soon as possible.
