Telx, an interconnection and colocation data center operator, yesterday announced additions to its senior management team: Joe Weinman as Senior Vice President, Cloud Services and Strategy; and Ron Sterbenz as Vice President of Marketing. The pair brings decades of data center, colocation and cloud computing strategy, as well as product development, marketing and operations achievements, to the company’s team.
The company states that Joe Weinman will lead its cloud services business development and strategy. Under his direction, its cloud services team will develop and bring to market innovative new cloud architectures, products and services for enterprise and service provider customers within the company’s C3 Cloud Connection Centers. Weinman is a frequent keynote speaker, blogger and the founder of Cloudonomics – a rigorous, multidisciplinary approach to valuing the cloud. Prior to joining the company, Weinman held executive leadership positions at Hewlett Packard, AT&T and Bell Laboratories. Weinman brings a wealth of experience in corporate strategy and development, partnerships, alliances and R&D.
