The shared webhosting package at Lunarpages, a web hosting company based in California, USA, has set a limit on the number of emails sent from your account. Below is a sample of Lunarpage’ warning message that would be sent to you if you exceed the allowable bulk of sent emails.
>>>
This is a courtesy email to let you know that your domain (name of domain) has exceeded the limit of sending 400 emails per hour.

When sending this many emails, it can have adverse affects on the server, including but not limited to, clogging the mail queue and potentially blacklisting the server which may prevent you and all customers on the shared server from sending email.

Steps you can take if you ARE NOT running a mail script on your account:

1. Log into your Customer Account Page at http://account.lunarpages.com and update your account password
2. Then login to your cPanel and update the passwords for each email address
a. cPanel > Mail > Add/Remove/Manage Accounts > Change Pass
3. Inform all email users on your account of the limit

Steps to take if you ARE running a mail script on your account:

1. Update your script to the latest version ASAP
2. If you have (or need) a mailing list, please consider using the following in cPanel
1. phpList: A powerful mailing list featuring multiple mailing lists,  attachments and the ability to schedule when your email is sent. phpList may be found by going to: cPanel > Fantastico > phpList, click on .New Installation. and follow the instructions to install.
* More information may be found at: http://www.phplist.com/

If you are at the point where you need to send such massive quantities of emails, we suggest you look into upgrading your hosting account to a dedicated server plan, where there is no email limit. For more details regarding our dedicated hosting plans, please visit: www.lpdedicated.com

If your account continues to generate more than 400 outbound emails per hour on a frequent basis, we will need to temporarily disable your email access.  If your email is disabled, you would be required to correct the issue and contact our support department in order to have it re-enabled.

If your account has its email disabled 3 times for the same issues, you run the risk of having your email permanently disabled.  We are more than happy to work with you to prevent this from happening.

We appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Kind Regards,
Lunarpages Support
